"The Origin Myths"

This set of 3 pieces titled "The Origin Myths" emerges as the visual centerpiece in the ambiance of Copal, a charming bar that is part of Naviva®, a fresh and cutting-edge complex of cabins with biophilic design conceived by the prestigious Four Seasons hotel chain in Punta Mita, Nayarit, Mexico. This new space stands out for its revealing expression of human interaction with the natural environment, proposing a connection of profound contemplation.

In this context, the details and gestures in the ambiance and decoration complement the sense of vitality and enigma in this new space. For the creation of this graphic series, I attempted to personally represent Mexico's iconographic legacy, inspired by artists such as Miguel Covarrubias, Carlos Mérida, Rufino Tamayo, or Francisco Toledo, shaping it through a personal figurative interpretation.

The visual compositions draw inspiration from popular myths and narratives that delve into the origins of the universe in various ancestral cultures. The inherent relevance of nature and the intricate relationship between humanity and the spiritual realm are presented as an interplay between natural evocation and spiritual significance.

The final result is a graphic interpretation, centered around three foundational elements that give life: earth, sun, and water, each with a transcendent symbolic meaning.
